Introduction:
Your DRIE-SWO chapter is hosting it's Annual General Meeting virtually on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 10:30 am.  Immediately following this meeting will be a webinar. Your total time commitment is just 1.5 hours, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm: The agenda follows:

2) Webinar
11:00 - 12:00 pm     "Corporate Security in the Real World"

Don't miss this presentation by George Anderson, Director, Corporate Security, Global Risk Management for Great-West Lifeco. George will present an overview of the Corporate Security Mandate at Canada Life, touching on Corporate Security functions, organizational alignment, governance and taxonomy.

He will also share current and emerging threats and risks leading into a discussion of strategic initiatives, risk controls and mitigation including how these will be incorporated into physical security risk management at Canada Life. The discussion will also cover integration and rationalization of physical security systems, communications and collaboration along with Executive Security and Travel. 

George will also discuss the role of Corporate Security within his organization’s Incident and Emergency Response structure with examples of escalation and response.

Speaker:    George Anderson CPP, CFE, Director, Corporate Security, Global Risk Management

                                 

Bio:    George, Director of Corporate Security for Great-West Lifeco, has more than 35 years of experience in physical security & fraud investigations. George has Bachelor of Arts degrees in Social Sciences from the University of Western Ontario and in Criminal Justice Studies at the University of Winnipeg and is both a Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Protection Professional as well as a member of the Canadian Association of Threat Assessment Professionals. 

George started his professional career as a police officer with the Toronto Police Service. During 25 years in government service George held various progressive leadership roles in Special Investigations, Security and Safety with the Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba, retiring as the Director of Administration. He is a subject matter expert in fraud investigations, threat assessment and security, with extensive experience in business continuity and project management. George has significant experience presenting at industry conferences, workshops and training seminars on the above subjects.
