Description:   
Join us for an interactive "Peer Panel" session on how the past two (2) years have permanently changed the way you look at your organization’s typical BCM structure or “house”.

Each bringing unique and realistic perspectives, the panel members will discuss how recent events are reshaping commonly understood BCM program components. This 90 minute interactive discussion will be open throughout to participants' questions, feedback and shared experiences.

Your Panelists: 

Shanda Chronowich 
As Senior Manager, Business Continuity at opentext, Shanda has over 20 years of experience in business continuity & emergency management, in both public and private sector firms and  industries.

Prior to her role at opentext, Shanda worked for MNP,  was National Practice Lead for Business Resilience at Protiviti, Director of Business Continuity at Resolve Corporation, Manager at PwC & Manager, BCP for Fidelity Investments.  

Marie Lavoie Dufort 
Marie is Manager, Global Supplier Resiliency. She is certified in Lean Six Sigma from the  University of Toronto, 2021, an ISO 22301 Lead Auditor, ICOR 2020, a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) from Disaster Recovery Institute, an Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) from Disaster Recovery Institute (2017) and also holds a Bachelor of Communications from Simon Fraser University (2013).

Her speaking engagements include “Business Continuity Emergency Trends” for  Disaster Recovery Information Exchange in May 2021, “Introduction to Organizational Resilience” at the EPBC Conference, Vancouver, October 2018, “Cyber Security and Business Continuity Management” at EPICC Seminar, Victoria, October 2016 and “Sustainability and Business Continuity Management Breakfast,” in Vancouver in May 2016.  

Des O’Callaghan
Des O'Callaghan FBCI has 32 years of front-line Business Continuity experience, both in the financial sector and consulting across multiple sectors. He holds numerus active roles with the BCI, teaching and volunteering. Des is currently Leader of the BCI Canada Chapter, Chair of the BCI Americas Next Practice Group and Lead Assessor for the institute.

In addition, Des regularly develops, facilitates and presents at two industry conferences in Canada.
